This is really mind-blowing as many Nigerians in Awka, Anambra State Nigeria (South East) left their homes as early as 6am today (7th December, 2015) to cue for petrol. Issues like this will not only lead to inflation of food and other resource prices but may likely cause an average or low income Nigerian to either be late for work or take an impromptu sick leave. Our source told us that this has been going on for weeks now without any hope for a change and many Nigerians rely on petrol for their daily income generation. Who knows what the situation will be somewhere else in the country. We strongly look forward to a better situation than this atleast to create a conducive thriving environment for Nationals and residents in Nigeria.
I am a witness. Was there yesterday but couldn't get. NNPC is currently the only station in Awka with fuel that sells at Government pump price of 87 naira. Others sell within the range of 125 - 140 naira. Its very frustrating and Governors are thinking of reducing minimum wage which is currently 18000 naira. May God help us
