GENDER EQUALITY EXTENDED TO COMBAT JOBS

This is obviously one of the most historic shift in policy in the United States of America. The pentagon now opens combat jobs for women to be part of 220,000 roles that is currently filled by male counterparts.

The defence secretary  Ash Carter  quoted in Pentagon press conference on Thursday:
"Our force of the future must continue to benefit from the best America has to offer, and this includes women."

He also mentioned that the policy change will take effect in 30 days starting from thursday 3rd December 2015. "This means that as long as they qualify and meet the standards, women will now be able to contribute to our mission in ways they could not before," "They'll be able to drive tanks, give orders, lead infantry soldiers into combat."
