The recent flooding in York though not a first time incident for this city (has happened before in 2002) was said to have damaged more than 3500 properties. The flood arose from a heavy rainfall that cause River Foss and Ouse overflow into towns and cities of Northern England. As scholars rightly put " flooding is a sign of global climate change" but this is obviously not my focus today as many properties and homes are lost as a result of this. On the bright side, the Prime Minister David Cameron pledged more military help for the region as the army was deployed to move 300 to 400 people from their homes in York, where the River Ouse was expected to continue rising until Monday local time, the local council said.
